Due to strong growth, Genetec is currently looking for an Erlang Developer to complete its team in Quebec city. As the new Erlang developer you will be involved in all parts of the development cycle, from the initial idea to get it up and running live. We are growing a world-class team focused on creating a scalable protocol ingestion platform.
•Develop and maintain an Erlang-based protocol ingestion platform using open-source libraries (such as Ranch and Cowboy) and components like RabbitMQ;
•Work closely with the architecture team and implement with a high availability and scalability mindset;
•Participate, as part of an Agile development process, in the design, the tasks planning, the feature development and testing to the delivery of the platform to the customer;
•Work both on your own and in close collaboration with other team members and upstream developers.

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Sciences or equivalent experience;
•1 year of experience in Erlang and passion about functional programming;
•Focus on agile development with a strong knowledge of testing frameworks and methodologies;
•Able to work in teams and collaborate.
•Excellent knowledge of networking protocols including TCP, UDP, HTTP, etc;
•Experience with Linux or BSD.
•Experience working with Erlang/OTP within a live environment;
•Knowledge of C# and/or F#;
•Knowledge of RabbitMQ.
