NYC on Rails: Special Edition on Elixir Programming Language (New York)

For this special edition of NYC On Rails, José Valim will be presenting his own programming language, Elixir. Elixir is a meta-programming language that is built on top of the Erlang VM. It focuses it on using Erlang’s abilities to build concurrent, distributed and fault-tolerant applications with code upgrades.

About the Presenter: 

José Valim is the creator of the Elixir programming language and member of the Rails Core Team. He is also the lead-developer of Plataformatec, a consultancy firm based in Brazil, and an active member of the Open Source community.
