Joe Ren will be presenting. His description follows:
Continuation has been discovered for several decades already. However, the era of continuation is just coming. Thanks to Bram Geron et al, we have now got an elegant programming language called Continuation Calculus that is trivial to implement, easy to combine/reuse, and have minimized concept people have to learn before programming.
In this talk, we will explore the new world of continuations, and experience its features. We also discuss some difficult but promising questions that we don’t have an answer yet.
Just an advise, this talk does not require you to have any knowledge of continuations, although some generic experience on programming is necessary (regardless what kind you do, imperative or functional). If you do meet the requirements, you are guaranteed to be able to start programming in Continuation Calculus after the talk.
The doors to get into the office lock at 6pm. If you come later than that you’ll need to give me a call on[masked] to let you in.
