Before Erlang Factory on Oct 4 – we’re getting our Erlang groove on for September! We’ve got two presentation for this coming Wednesday. If you can spare a few hours midweek to feed your technology soul (with pizza, beer, and Erlang naturally) this is a must attend event!

Introduction to Erlang Types

While Erlang is a dynamically typed language, it has types! In this talk, Jesse will cover the individual types, their uses, nuances and gotchas. He’ll also cover the use of function typespecs and Erlang’s powerful static analysis tool Dialyzer to track down bugs before you deploy to production!

erlport is an amazing library that lets you build software in Python (and Ruby) and control it from Erlang. In this talk Garrett will provide a short overview of the library and demonstrate some ways Erlang and Python can be made to work together in profoundly beautiful ways.
