Bet365 releases its Erlang library for SOAP support as open source in order to encourage the use of the Erlang and increase awareness.

Bet365 has built its own Erlang support library for SOAP, a messaging protocol that enables communication between web systems. The SOAP library by bet365 is available at https://github.com/bet365/soap.

In an interview with Computer Weekly and Computing, Chandru Mullaparthi, head of software architecture at Bet365, explained why bet365 has chosen Erlang as an essential technology in the toolkit and why it is releasing its Erlang libraries as open source.
